Job description

Comagine Health has two opportunities within Orthopedic Review to render clinical opinions about the medical conditions, procedures, and/or treatments under review.

We have an on-call position and a .50 FTE up to a 1.0 FTE position available. These persons will need to be board certified with the State of Washington.

Who is Comagine Health?

Comagine Health is a national, nonprofit, health care consulting firm. We work collaboratively with patients, providers, payers, and other stakeholders to reimagine, redesign, and implement sustainable improvements in the health care system.

As a trusted, neutral party, we work in our communities to address key, complex health, and health care delivery problems. In all our engagements and initiatives, we draw upon our expertise in quality improvement, care management, health information technology, analytics, and research.

We invite our partners and communities to work with us to improve health and redesign the health care delivery system.

Our Medical Affairs team, consisting of 30 physicians/dentists and a network of over 35 physician consultants, provides medical review, quality of care oversight, and consultation for various contracts with government and private sector benefit programs. In collaboration with our clients, we develop and implement review criteria to ensure patients receive evidence-based care at the right time. In this role, you would:

  1. Apply clinical judgment, evidence-based medicine, and other resources to render timely decisions on clinical peer reviews.
  2. Interact with attending physicians regarding potential decertification and related matters.
  3. Provide appropriate and timely subject matter expertise and other support to clinical reviewers, case managers, and consultants.
  4. Ensure that reviews meet standards for clarity of decision-making and recordkeeping.
