This position will assist in overseeing clinic operations and staff establishing standards and protocols. This position will also ensure compliance with the mission statement.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate the provision of health care to clinic patients, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Implement quality checks and improvement initiatives to identify and address opportunities for improvement.
- Handle and resolve escalated issues, complaints, and grievances within established parameters.
- Coordinate, facilitate and participate in committees and meetings as assigned by CMO and President/CEO.
- Provide consultation on complex cases.
- Develop and foster positive working relationships with external community contacts and resources.
- Promote professional development.
- Manage clinic performance, including reporting on metrics.
- Participate in recruiting, directing, and reviewing medical and support staff.
- Assist in setting and allocating area budget.
- Review organizational policies for consistency, variances, or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of medical clinic administrative and operational best practices.
- High level of professionalism, patient service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lead a team.
- Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality and adapting styles to differing audiences.
- Ability to resolve complex issues within tight timeframes while maintaining procedural integrity.
- Ability to work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative and to understand the implications of work.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Medical degree or equivalent.
- Previous management experience in a medical setting.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE
- Valid CA State Medical License and be Board Certified.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to pass required pre-employment health and background screening.
- Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.
- El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.
- To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.
