Job summary

Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. in Sterling, Virginia is seeking an Assistant Mechanic to support maintenance and repair of golf cars, mowers, tractors, and other club equipment under the head Mechanic.

This hands-on role is for someone mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and who takes pride in keeping equipment running at peak performance so our grounds team can perform their best every day. On-the-job training and competitive hourly wages are provided.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in small engine repair or equipment maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of gas and electric engine systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head Mechanic with routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of golf cars, mowers, tractors, and other club equipment.
• Perform oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, blade sharpening, and other scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose mechanical issues under the guidance of the head Mechanic and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop environment and properly store tools and equipment.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs and service records for all equipment.
• Assist with the fueling and charging of equipment and report any safety concerns immediately.
