Job description

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly and repair of pneumatic low and high-pressure packing pumps in the production line with minimum supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Read, understand, and follow assembly prints
2. Experience with Electro/Mechanical components
3. Use of assembly hand tools including crimp tools, drills, torque wrenches, rivet and insertion tools as required
4. Build finished assemblies within defined time standards and with a high level of quality
5. Troubleshoots assemblies and makes appropriate adjustments/corrections to hardware
6. Use a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments e.g., scale, calipers, micrometers, etc.
7. Maintain a record of assembly process, progress, and problems
8. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines
9. Performs other jobs as needed for production and as assigned by Team Lead
10. Good communication skills and a team member who's able to work with a diverse staff
11. Assist other technicians for PM and Projects
12. Computerized ticket system and PM

Job Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred
4. Computer skills: Microsoft Office products and email
5. Knowledgeable of integration processes, concepts, alternatives, and best practices
6. Ability to read engineering schematics and drawings
7. Quick learner with ability to follow direction, problem solve, multitask, and adapt to changes to promote efficiency and productivity
8. Must be flexible and available to work overtime as required by EF needs
9. Standing, bending, reaching, and handling bulky parts with the ability to frequently lift to 35 pounds
