Troon in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Mechanic to maintain and repair golf course equipment and vehicles. The position offers hourly compensation and opportunities for growth within a global hospitality-focused organization.

Responsibilities include servicing mowing equipment, hydraulic systems, tires, and fabrication tasks, with an emphasis on safety and teamwork on-site. A college/technical certificate and 2+ years of small engine experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of small engine repairs and maintenance.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment, and power tools.
• Lubricate and service equipment.
• Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and adjust as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date hydraulic systems knowledge and repairs.
• Inspect, change, and repair tires.
• Assist in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff.
• Clean work areas after repairs are completed.
• Assist in fabricating, body repair and painting.
• Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment.
• Operate mowing equipment and maintenance vehicles as needed.
• Train maintenance staff in proper care and upkeep of golf course equipment.
• Operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Compensation: $25.00 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment and other power equipment.
• Lubricate and service all equipment.
• Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments where necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs and their components.
• Inspect, change and repair tires.
• Assist in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff.
• Clean working areas after repair work is completed.
• Assist in fabricating, body repair and painting.
• Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment.
• Assist on the maintenance crew and operate mowing equipment when servicing is complete.
• Assist in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of the golf course equipment.
• Operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment as needed.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Certificate from college or technical school.
• Must have 2+ years of experience with small engine repairs and maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be a quick learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
