Responsibilities
- Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
- Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality, and supervise the Meat & Seafood team.
- Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
- Lead a team to deliver high-quality products, excellent service, and a great customer experience.
- Participate in hiring, training, and developing team members.
- Manage weekly ad items, inventory, and ordering; ensure adherence to department practices for receiving, stocking, and unloading to maintain freshness and quality.
- Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain meat & seafood equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and train team members accordingly.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old, with basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures. 2+ years of professional experience, leadership, and grocery retail experience in Meat is preferred.
- Dependable, reliable, and able to perform related duties.
- Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Good communication skills and team participation ability.
- Ability to perform housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitizing tasks.
- Adherence to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.
- Capable of standing for up to 8 hours, walking 2 miles per shift.
- Able to work in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Good vision required for using knives and equipment.
- Ability to lift/carry 25-90 lbs., move pallets and racks, and perform related physical tasks.
