Responsibilities

• Support daily meat department operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through stock control and rotation.
• Ensure meat products are stored per company and safety standards.
• Monitor quality and freshness; remove or dispose of unsellables as needed.
• Support and supervise department staff to follow procedures.
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays.
• Assist receiving by verifying incoming product quality and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the meat department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and product rotation
• Ensure all meat products are handled and stored in accordance with company and food safety standards
• Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable items
• Support and supervise department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays
• Support receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracy
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in meat, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations
• Strong understanding of product handling and inventory practices
• Ability to identify product quality issues and maintain safety standards
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or lead role
• Familiarity with perishable inventory and food safety standards
• Background in high-volume retail or wholesale environments

Work Environment / Expectations

Primarily warehouse or retail environment with temperature-controlled areas. Requires standing, walking, and handling products for extended periods. May require schedule flexibility based on department needs.
