Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Pineville, LA is seeking an Assistant Market Manager to keep market and seafood cases full, rotated, and fresh. You’ll cut, weigh, package, and label products, and promote excellent customer service.

You will train partners, review sales data, and co-manage inventory to ensure strong in-stock levels. Minimum 18 years old, high school diploma or GED, and 1+ year related experience required; 21+ to drive.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 21+ years old to drive for Company business per policy.
• High school Diploma or GED plus 1+ year related experience; or equivalent.
• Meatcutter/apprentice/manager trainee experience preferred.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign, direct work.
• Review historical data on sales, ads and promotions; support management.
• Co-manage inventory to maintain in-stock levels.
• Review profit/loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with dept manager.
• Maintain and improve sales, PR, product quality, and work standards.
• Check inventory on trucks; ensure accurate orders and paperwork.
• Cut, weigh, package, and label products; use tools safely.
• Enforce quality control and proper product rotation and labeling.
• Promote product sales via suggestive selling; greet customers.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work/shopping environments.
