Job summary

Lindblad Expeditions seeks an Assistant Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in the maintenance and repair of all vessel systems onboard ships. This role requires knowledge of diesel propulsion, electricity generation, and other support systems, along with various necessary licenses. The position offers a rotational schedule: 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off, with a daily pay rate of $580 - $635.

Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, be self-starters, and manage multiple tasks effectively. Health insurance, 401(k) plans, and travel benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of diesel propulsion and electricity generation systems.
• Computer experience: Excel spreadsheet experience and Windows applications preferred.
• Professional demeanor with tact and courtesy.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Chief Engineer in maintenance of vessel systems.
• Performing routine maintenance checks and keeping records.
• Maintaining essential communication with the engineering team.
