Sahuarita Unified School District is seeking an Assistant Marching Band Director for Sahuarita High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves planning instruction, supervising students, coordinating with staff and parents, and ensuring safety and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

Preferred three years paid coaching experience in related sport.
Valid CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

Communicate to participants the policies of the team and school activities.
Submit forms as required by the school (eligibility rosters, etc.).
Be responsible for public relations and publicity for the athletic program.
Establish procedures for communicating with parents/guardians.
Plan, organize, and implement teaching of fundamentals, strategies, rules, and conditioning.
Provide an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship.
Compile and maintain accurate individual and team performance records.
Participate in the awards programs as per procedures.
Ensure adequate supervision for all students in the program.
Inspect facilities/equipment for safety and maintain emergency readiness.
Instruct participants in safety procedures and injury reporting.
Handle injury situations appropriately and ensure first aid readiness.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Band Director.
