Job summary

Sheridan Ohio is seeking an Assistant Manufacturing Technician-Bindery for the night shift (7p–7a). We’ll train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment, with hands-on learning and a path to long-term careers in print manufacturing.

We’re hiring 6 team members to join a fast-paced, safety‑mocused production floor. This full-time role offers overtime opportunities, shift differential, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry.
• Mechanically inclined and able to use basic tools.
• Able to read basic instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes).
• Pride in delivering quality work.
• Reliable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, binders).
• Keep machines running smoothly and monitor quality.
• Work with the team to hit daily production goals.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Troubleshoot minor issues to keep production moving.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.

What You'll Do

• Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment (cutters, folders, stitchers, and perfect binders)
• Keep machines running smoothly by making adjustments and monitoring quality
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Troubleshoot minor issues and keep production moving
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor
• Lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
