Hagadone Communications in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, is seeking an energetic Assistant Managing Editor and Staff Reporter to lead the newsroom. You’ll break news, cover local government, write enterprise pieces, and mentor contributors while coordinating with the regional editorial team.
The role includes editing, planning coverage, and producing award-winning local journalism for print, digital, and social platforms. Three to seven years’ journalism experience and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.

The Bonners Ferry Herald, one of Idaho's oldest and most respected community newspapers, is seeking an energetic, curious, and community-minded journalist to serve as our Assistant Managing Editor and Staff Reporter.
This is much more than a reporting job.
You’ll spend your days breaking news, covering local government, writing enterprise stories, attending community events, and telling the stories that shape the future of Boundary County.
You’ll also help lead the newsroom by editing content, planning coverage, mentoring contributors, and working alongside the Managing Editor of the Bonner County Daily Bee to produce award winning local journalism.
