Uptown Cheapskate is a buy-sell-trade fashion store for young adults. We carry thousands of mall and luxury brands at up to 80% off regular retail prices. We aim to make fashion more sustainable by giving new life to gently used clothes and shoes that aren’t being worn anymore.

We’re looking for a full-time Assistant Manager to join our team. Leadership experience is appreciated, but not required. We seek individuals with the ability to lead, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to improving our store performance. Our store is part of a network of Uptown locations, and we promote and grow from within.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing excellent customer service and encouraging staff to do the same
  2. Assisting in training staff, demonstrating quality work to lead by example
  3. Managing back stock and inventory
  4. Making multiple daily posts on social media (reels, posts, stories)
  5. Presorting and buying incoming clothes, shoes, and accessories from vendors (community sellers)
  6. Organizing racks, merchandising clothing, tagging, and processing products
  7. Ringing up customers and teaching them how to sell to us
  8. Potential for monthly sales bonuses
  9. 401(k) eligibility

Compensation: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Our stores buy and resell thousands of gently used clothing items monthly, at a fraction of their original price.
