A Part-time Assistant Manager position is a perfect career opportunity for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. Our team members serve as the foundation for future growth, and our managers provide leadership and direction to the entire store team. The Part-time Assistant Manager gains knowledge and experience, essential for promotion to higher management positions, under the guidance of experienced personnel. A well-defined training program will support your development within our management structure. Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, sports-minded, with strong customer service backgrounds and/or relevant educational paths.

Responsibilities:

  1. Performing customer sales and service
  2. Merchandising and ensuring compliance with all company policies
  3. Answering customer inquiries via telephone
  4. Setting up promotional signage
  5. Enforcing all company policies
  6. Learning and providing product descriptions
  7. Proposing add-on sales
  8. Checking and retrieving merchandise from storage areas
  9. Organizing, restocking, and cleaning merchandise on the sales floor
  10. Managing store opening and closing procedures
  11. Training newly hired associates
  12. Directing sales and cashier associates throughout the store
  13. Controlling inventory and enforcing loss prevention policies

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High School diploma, GED, or relevant experience
  • Basic organizational and math skills
  • Subject to E-Verify upon accepting the position
  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, with or without accommodations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible scheduling availability

California Pay Scale: $16.50 - $19.45/hour depending on store location
