Job Title: Part-time Assistant Manager

Big 5 Sporting Goods, with over 400 stores across the western United States, is seeking enthusiastic and sports-minded individuals for the role of Part-time Assistant Manager. Responsibilities:

1. Perform customer sales and service
2. Ensure merchandising and compliance with all company policies
3. Answer customer inquiries via telephone
4. Set up promotional signage
5. Enforce all company policies
6. Learn and provide product descriptions
7. Propose add-on sales
8. Manage merchandise from storage to sales floor
9. Organize, restock, and clean merchandise
10. Handle store opening and closing procedures
11. Train newly hired associates
12. Direct sales and cashier associates
13. Control inventory and enforce loss prevention policies

Requirements:

1. Must be 21 years of age or older
2. High School diploma, GED, or relevant experience
3. Basic organizational and math skills
4. Subject to E-Verify upon employment
5. Ability to perform light to moderate lifting

California Pay Scale: $16.50 - $19.45/hour, depending on store location.
