Job summary

Blue Ridge Care seeks an Assistant Manager for the Winchester Thrift Shop. You will support daily store operations, supervise staff and volunteers, manage inventory and merchandising, and assist with fundraising efforts to fund compassionate care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in retail/customer service, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for within-service-area travel are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support and learn all aspects of thrift shop management in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Assume responsibility for daily operations when the manager is absent.
• Open and close the store as scheduled, ensuring appropriate staffing and operational readiness.
• Supervise thrift associates, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and standards are maintained.
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and donations processing to maximize fundraising results.
