Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager for our high-energy convenience store in Virginia. You will support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, run the register, train and lead a motivated team, and ensure superior customer service.

This role requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, and will involve second or third shifts. A Food Safety Certification is preferred or can be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• Customer service and guest interaction experience.
• Ability to lead a team and drive sales.
• Experience handling cash, deposits, and POS operations.
• Ability to train and motivate staff for upselling and service quality.
• Willingness to cover multiple shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Must have or obtain a Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store operations.
• Run the register and help customers quickly and accurately.
• Coach and motivate staff to upsell promotions.
• Assist with hiring, training, and leading a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when Store Manager is away.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and merchandising.
• Keep the store clean and welcoming, including pumps and restrooms.
• Create team schedules to ensure proper coverage.
• Handle daily cash deposits and oversee store finances.
• Provide leadership feedback to drive team performance.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

What You’ll Do

• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
