Job summary

GPM Investments, fas mart, seeks an Assistant Manager for Store 31 in Mechanicsville, VA. This full-time position covers evenings, afternoons and mornings with open availability required, including weekends and holidays.

Expect a fast-paced retail environment and a focus on customer service and leadership. You will support the Store Manager, supervise cash handling, inventory and staff, and help drive sales and promotions.

Qualifications

• Open Availability: weekends, holidays and second/third shifts.
• Reliable Transportation: valid driver's license and vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Physical Readiness: able to perform cleaning and outside-area tasks.
• Minimum Age: 21+ years old.
• Communication: English proficiency with basic math.
• Willingness to Learn: adaptable and coachable.
• Certification: Food Safety Certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team.
• Act as manager when Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store, including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits; oversee store financials.
• Provide leadership to motivate the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned
