Job summary

GPM Investments is seeking an Assistant Manager for Store 240 in Preston, MD. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, supervise a team, and ensure excellent customer service during open shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Open availability to work, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and proof of insurance for deposits.
• Physical ability to perform store upkeep tasks (cleaning, trash, pumps).
• Minimum age 21+ years old.
• Proficient English communication with basic math.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to store operations.
• Must have (or obtain) Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed, accuracy, and a positive attitude.
• Coach and motivate team members to upsell products and promotions.
• Assist with hiring, training, and leading a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off shift.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock full.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming store, including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling, deposits, and oversee store financials.
• Provide feedback and leadership to motivate the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned
