Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Assistant Sales Department Manager to drive directive selling, meet sales goals, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will recruit, train, and mentor a team, aiming to exceed department targets and maintain high merchandising standards on the floor.

You will work closely with the department manager to execute business plans, coach staff, and build strong relationships with leaders to foster a loyal customer following and strong inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Track record of strong results such as productivity or personal trade.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence in a commission-based environment.
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
• Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with department/store managers and leaders.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Ensure salespeople are delivering outstanding customer service by teaching, coaching and leading by example
• Work with the department manager to ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
• Build long lasting relationships and create a loyal customer following by actively selling on the floor
• Assist the department manager in ensuring accurate inventory management and achieve shrinkage goals

Pay Range Details

Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$16.50 - $24.25 Hourly
