Job summary

Westport Properties, owner of US Storage Centers, seeks an Assistant Manager Self Storage to market storage solutions, manage daily property operations, and drive rental growth across multiple CA locations. The role requires daily property walks, strong customer service, and cash handling responsibilities.

Reporting to the District Manager, this full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for internal growth within the Westport Properties portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Market and sell self-storage solutions to potential customers
• Work both inside an office and outside on the property
• Perform general property care, cleaning and maintenance
• Conduct daily property walk to confirm spaces are ready to rent
• Process payments accurately and handle cash
• Engage with customers to provide an exceptional experience
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to perform essential functions

Job Title: Assistant Manager Self Storage

Reports to: District Manager

FSLA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Status: Full-time

Location: This position will service the following locations: Mission Hills - Brand,La Crescenta - Cloud, La Crescenta - Lowell, Montrose - Clifton and Chatsworth - De Soto, CA

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM-6:00 PM – subject to change; ability to work on weekends

Pay Range: $18.50 to $19.50 per hour

Travel: 50% or more of the Time

Job Description

• Effectively market and sell self-storage solutions to potential customers
• Work independently, spending time both inside an office and outside on the property
• General property care, cleaning, and maintenance
• Daily property walk to confirm spaces are ready to rent
• Accurate payment processing and cash handling
• Engage with customers to provide an exceptional experience
• Valid driver's license and a reliable form of transportation are required to perform the essential functions of the job

Requirements

• Effective 5/7/25 MUST have a Real ID or Passport to travel to San Antonio training center

Physical Requirements

• Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Should be able to walk in and around the property, spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
• Cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and maintaining the property curb appeal
