Job summary

Gary’s Wine & Marketplace is seeking a hands-on Assistant Manager to run a tight, organized store with energy and accountability. You’ll manage daily operations, inventory, receiving, merchandising, scheduling, and staff supervision while delivering outstanding guest service.

You do not need a wine background; training is provided. This role calls for strong leadership, excellent communication, and a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience.
• Experience with inventory, receiving, and loss prevention.
• Ability to lead, schedule, and train a team.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook; POS experience (we will train on Vision).

Responsibilities

• Serve as second in command for store operations and daily functions.
• Oversee inventory, receiving, merchandising, and store presentation.
• Schedule staff and supervise team performance.
• Handle customer service issues and help the store meet financial and staffing goals.
