The Assistant Manager, Product Development & Production is responsible for supporting the Product Development team with sample and purchase order organization. You will organize, count, and assess how many samples are in the Product Development queue, schedule fit appointments with vendors and models, and assist with TOP coordination as needed. Key responsibilities include ensuring vendor compliance, maintaining purchasing, scheduling and inventory control, overseeing purchasing and scheduling for goods, coordinating purchase order setup with PO admin, assisting with final cost negotiation, tracking top of production samples for quality and timeliness, maintaining production steps and weekly WIP reports, advising cross-functional teams on delivery and margin challenges, monitoring factory ship dates, managing cost sheets, building work-in-process reports, driving weekly cross-functional meetings, troubleshooting style issues, reviewing sales bookings against cancel and production dates, and alerting leadership of problems and resolutions. Requirements include basic understanding of Google Suite and Microsoft Office, excellent time-management and organization skills, strong follow-up skills, effective communication, attention to detail, ability to work independently and collaboratively, ability to prioritize and pivot projects, flexible thinking, and an AFA or AA in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field or equivalent experience. The schedule is Monday to Friday, core business hours, onsite.
