Job summary

Big 5 Sporting Goods in California seeks an Assistant Manager for a part-time role to help run daily store operations. You will lead the team in the absence of the Store Manager and ensure excellent service to every customer.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• Flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Operate store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers throughout the store.
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries.
• Recommend products and suggest add-on sales.
• Merchandising and compliance of all company policies.
• Setting promotional signage.
• Checking and retrieving merchandise from stockroom as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor.
• Opening and closing of the store.
• Training newly hired associates.
• Directing sales and cashier associates throughout the store.
• Inventory control and enforcement of loss prevention policies.
• Enforcement of all company policies.
• Performs or may perform additional duties as assigned by management and supervision.
