Job summary

America's Best, a National Vision brand, is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in the Bucks County/Quakertown area to lead daily store operations and staff. You will drive eyeglass sales, manage inventory and ensure a positive customer experience at every step.

You will coach and motivate associates, monitor performance, and coordinate with management to implement promotions and maintain policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; Supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent oral and written communication for team management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (review the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Convey commitment to outstanding customer service and train associates.
• Ensure quality standards; review remakes and enforce policies.
• Communicate with the General Manager and District Manager; provide store reporting.
• Ensure promotions, advertising and visual merchandising are in place.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates and day-to-day functions.
• Assist forecasting staffing needs, recruiting and retaining staff.
• Motivate associates to meet and exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary to meet state licensing requirements.

Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
