Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager for our Austin area stores. You will oversee the eyeglass department, drive sales and ensure compliance with company policies while maintaining outstanding customer service.

You will coach and supervise staff, manage promotions, and cooperate with store leadership to forecast staffing and drive performance. A strong background in optics, leadership and operations is required.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience with supervisory exposure preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Strong communication skills for team management.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and progress tracking.
• Ability to analyze and understand financial reports.
• Demonstrated problem-solving能力.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profit, sales and performance goals (P&L)
• Optimize and supervise the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure others do the same
• Review quality; enforce policies to ensure compliance
• Communicate with GM, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting
• Manage store promotions, advertising and visual merchandising
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day tasks are completed
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retention
• Motivate staff to exceed performance standards
• In some locations ensure duties per licensing requirements

Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
