Job summary

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses is hiring an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department, oversee staff, and ensure excellent customer service. You will monitor sales performance, manage inventory, and uphold company policies across the store.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will coach opticians and sales associates, schedule staffing, and drive promotions. The role combines hands-on leadership with daily operations to deliver a positive shopping experience and maintain

Qualifications

• Experience in optical sales and supervising staff is preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Understanding of store operations and performance standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication for team management.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e., reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure the team does the same.
• Ensure quality standards, review remakes and enforce policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager and Corporate Office; provide store reporting.
• Manage promotions, advertising and visual merchandising; ensure staff awareness.
• Supervise opticians and sales associates and ensure day-to-day tasks are completed.
• Assist GM with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting and retaining staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.

Job Description

What would you do? - The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company's policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
