Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, is seeking a Store Manager in Texas to lead optical sales and drive store performance. You will supervise opticians and sales associates, manage P&L, ensure compliance with policies, and coach a customer-focused team to deliver exceptional service.

As a leader, you’ll coordinate staffing, training, promotions, and reporting to the district and corporate office, while championing growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent oral and written communication for team management.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and progress tracking.
• Ability to read and understand financial reports.
• Proven problem-solving abilities across varied scopes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure others do the same.
• Review quality and enforce policies to meet standards.
• Communicate with GM, DM, and Corporate; provide store reporting.
• Support promotions, ads, and visual merchandising awareness.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians, CL Sales associates, and receptionists as needed.
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retention of quality staff.
• Motivate staff to exceed performance targets.
• In some locations, comply with state licensing/credential requirements.

Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
