Job summary

America's Best is seeking a store leader to drive sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction across the eyeglass department. You will supervise opticians and sales associates, coach the team, and ensure compliance with company policies.

In this role, you will analyze financial performance, manage promotions, and collaborate with the General Manager and district office to report results. A background in optical sales and supervision is preferred, with a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and coach associates and manage performance.
• Strong understanding of store operations and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure the team does the same.
• Ensure quality standards, review remakes, and enforce policies.
• Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting.
• Coordinate store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising; ensure staff are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day tasks are completed.
• Assist GM with forecasting staffing, recruiting, and retaining qualified staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary to meet state licensing requirements.

Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
