Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, is hiring an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee the eyeglass department and store operations in our Canton, MI location. You will lead a team, manage promotions, and ensure top-notch customer service and policy compliance.

You will collaborate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office, analyze financials, and drive sales to meet targets while motivating staff to achieve high performance.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong store operations knowledge and standards for success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for team management.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards; review remakes and enforce policies.
• Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide store reporting as required.
• Manage store promotions, advertising and visual merchandising; keep staff informed of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day tasks are completed.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting and retention of staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Note: state laws may require certain duties to be performed by licensed individuals; duties may vary.

Job Description

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
