Job summary

National Vision in Wisconsin seeks an Optical Store Manager to lead the eyeglass department, drive sales performance, optimize operations, and uphold policy compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will supervise Opticians and sales associates, coach teams, analyze financial reports, forecast staffing, and oversee promotions, merchandising, and staffing efficiencies, communicating results to the General Manager and Corporate Office to achieve store goals.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience required.
• Experience supervising a team preferred.
• Ability to lead and coach associates.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department efficiency and policy compliance.
• Ensure outstanding customer service across associates.
• Review quality standards and remakes; enforce policies.
• Communicate store performance to GM, DM and Corporate.
• Manage promotions, advertising and merchandising; inform staff.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and sales associates; day-to-day tasks.
• Assist GM with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retention.
• Encourage associates to exceed performance targets.
• Ensure licensing requirements are met where required by state law.

Job description

What would you do? - The Specifics

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company's policies and operational guidelines.
• Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met. Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with the General Manger, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting as required.
• Ensure store promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are in place and all associates and doctors are aware of current promotions.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (in some stores the Receptionist) and ensures the timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting and retaining a high caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• In some locations, state laws require certain responsibilities to be performed by individuals with specific licenses or credentials. Job duties and work practices may vary to meet these requirements.
