Job summary

Stevens Pass Mountain Resort in Leavenworth, WA, seeks an Assistant Manager for Lift Experience for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will supervise Lift Leads and Operators, manage safety programs, and support hiring, training, and scheduling.

The role requires 1+ year lift operations experience, 2+ years supervisory experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong guest service skills. Pay starts at $25.00–$32.14 hourly, with full-time hours available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year previous Lift Operations or Lift Maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience on a crew with 10+ direct reports.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
  • Speak, read and write in fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and monitoring daily operations of all lifts.
  • Represent the Lift Operations Department at the Management level.
  • Promote guest service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate attendance, punctuality, and grooming standards.
  • Train and mentor staff; provide performance feedback and reviews.
  • Assist with department strategic plans and daily tasks.

Responsible for daily supervision and scheduling of Team Leads, Leads and Lift Operators. Develop and implement programs for department safety, guest service and training. Assist with interviewing and hiring as well as inventory and budget monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and monitoring daily operations of all lifts. This includes time & labor compliance, proper clocking & signing-in/out procedures are followed and ensuring proper staffing levels are being met.
  • Represent the Lift Operations Department at the Management level by active participation in all relevant meetings. Conduct self in a manner that sets an example for Lift Employees and other company employees in all professional and moral responsibilities while at work.
  • Promote guest service standards compliance and operational efficiency as well as model positive guest service at all times.
  • Demonstrate exemplary attendance, punctuality, behavior and grooming/appearance standards.
  • Continuously train, coach and mentor returning and new staff. Motivate, reward and encourage all employees.
  • Be responsible for timely completion of training and development documentation, attend required management skills classes and be contributing and accountable members of our management team.
  • Provide performance feedback to supervised team, as well as build and deliver written performance reviews. This includes employee goal setting and recognition of staff.
  • Assist with the development of department strategic plans, coordinating opening and closing procedures and all daily operating tasks of the crew.
  • Understand Company Policies and Procedures. Implement and maintain these ensuring the best interests of the company as a whole are upheld. Counsel and discipline employees up to and including termination for violations of these policies.
  • Understand and implement all requirements of ANSI and OSHA regulations.
  • Supervise technical training for staff as well as assist in facilitation of department training sessions as needed.
  • Provide leadership development education for Leads, as well as developing Operators interested in becoming Leads.
  • Promote neat, clean and organized work stations.
  • During summer employment, assist or lead daily supervision of summer lift operations. Supervise and/or assist with on-mountain projects as needed.
  • Assist in preparation and effective implementation of departmental budgets for labor and expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong guest service skills, attention to detail, professionalism and timeliness.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate snowmobile, snow blower, truck, ATV, Rhino

Preferred

  • Ability to ski or snowboard at a minimum level 6.

The expected pay range is$25.00 - $32.14. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
