Job summary

Beaver Creek Ski Resort is hiring for winter seasonal roles in lift operations. The Lift Experience M1 provides frontline leadership to Lift Experience Leads and the team, ensuring safe, efficient guest service on the mountain.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, coaches staff, and adapts to changing conditions while maintaining safety and program standards. Starting wages range from $25.00 to $32.14 per hour, with housing available.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of lift or mountain operations experience required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership to Lift Experience Leads and the Lift Experience Team.
  • Support safe and efficient operation of lifts, mazes, and loading/unloading areas.
  • Develop and mentor Lift Experience Leads, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Includes all aspects of supporting the scan side of Lift Experience.
  • Assist in facilitating monthly Lead meetings focused on consistency, communication, training, and development.
  • Complete audits to ensure compliance with standards and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to operators via observation and Leads.
  • Conduct daily lineups, safety meetings, and briefings.

Beaver Creek Mountain Operations is seeking a motivated and safety-focused leader to join the Lift Experience Team. The Lift Experience M1 (formerly Team Lead) is responsible for supporting daily lift operations by providing frontline leadership, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring exceptional guest and employee experiences. This position provides direct leadership and support to Lift Experience Leads and operators as well as to the Scanning team, helping ensure safe, efficient, and guest-focused operations. They are responsible for coaching and discipline their team as well as creating schedules. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can make sound decisions, adapt to changing operational needs, and effectively coach and develop team members in a fast-paced environment. Working closely with Lift Experience Managers and Assistant Managers, the M1 helps execute department goals, maintain operational readiness, and foster a positive team culture centered around safety, accountability, employee development, and guest service.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete operational, safety, and service audits to ensure compliance with departmental standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide performance feedback and coaching to operators through direct observation and partnership with Leads.
  • Conduct daily lineups, safety meetings, and operational briefings.
  • Ensure employees follow established operating procedures, safety standards, and appearance expectations.
  • Monitor team performance and provide timely recognition, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Schedule, assign and adjust staffing to meet operational and business needs.
  • Monitor weather, terrain, and operational conditions and communicate impacts to staff and leadership.
  • Respond to and assist with guest concerns, incidents, and operational disruptions.
  • Complete daily inspections, documentation, and operational reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with CPTSB, OSHA, ANSI, USFS, and company requirements.
  • Communicate departmental, mountain, and company information in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support onboarding and training of new and returning employees.
  • Partner with Managers and Assistant Managers to address employee performance concerns and operational challenges.
  • Assist with seasonal opening, closing, and operational transition activities.
  • Serve as a visible role model for safety, guest service, professionalism, and company values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of previous lift or mountain operations experience required
  • Must be physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts; may lift up to 40 lbs
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to pass a ski/ride level 2
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends

The expected pay range is$25.00 - $32.14. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
