Good Oil Company is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily store operations, coach a budding team, and deliver a consistently great customer experience. You will partner with the Store Manager to run shifts, maintain safety, and ensure accurate transactions while modelling service excellence.

The ideal candidate is a reliable, people-focused leader with strong communication and scheduling skills, ready to own responsibilities and grow within a hands-on retail leadership role at Good Oil

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, food service, or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to supervise and coach a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with the daily operation of the store.
• Lead by example and create a positive, team-focused work environment.
• Supervise team members and help ensure shifts run smoothly.
• Train, coach, and encourage employees to deliver great customer service.
• Help with scheduling, shift coverage, and day-to-day team needs.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor inventory, restocking, and product availability.
• Follow and reinforce company policies, safety standards, and procedures.
• Help manage cash handling and ensure accurate transactions.
• Communicate important information to the Store Manager and team.
• Step in wherever needed to keep the store running at its best.
