Job summary

Huck’s Market is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee a shift, ensure efficient store operations, and support the Store Manager. The role requires promoting best-in-class service, managing hours, and ensuring compliance with policies while maintaining a safe, clean store environment.

The Assistant Manager will also help with bookkeeping, HR matters, merchandising, maintenance, and security tasks, and will promote the Huck’s Bucks loyalty app to customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and deliver courteous service
• Follow shift hours and help fill shifts
• Cover store manager's days off and some evening shifts
• Communicate effectively with staff and management
• Maintain compliance with laws and store policies
• Act as a role model and report sales or cash discrepancies
• Keep associates in proper uniform and provide good service
• Record hours and complete shift change reports
• Handle daily deposits and paperwork
• Treat colleagues with dignity and respect
• Advise manager of personnel issues
• Ensure store safety and secure handling of cash and merchandise
• Promote Huck’s Bucks loyalty app to customers
