Joe’s Jeans currently has an exciting opportunity available to join our team at the Woodbury Commons Outlet in New York as an Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager is responsible for partnering with the Store Manager to lead and motivate the store team to uphold our tradition of creating a memorable shopping experience for all of our customers through exemplary customer service. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the success of the store by motivating the sales team to achieve or exceed individual sales goals and KPIs.
  • Supporting the Store Manager in achieving total store goals and KPIs.
  • Creating a customer service-focused and sales-driven environment by exhibiting best practices in customer service, sales generation, and outreach.
  • Demonstrating sales leadership through high energy, active engagement on the sales floor, and coaching associates on clienteling standards.
  • Developing a strong knowledge of products, including sizing, materials, construction, inventory, and sales trends, and communicating this effectively to customers.
  • Partnering with the Store Manager to develop and train internal talent.
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures, including those in the Employee Handbook.
  • Performing store operations, including opening/closing procedures and POS transactions.
  • Ensuring the sales floor meets company standards for merchandising, visual presentation, and housekeeping.
  • Maintaining professionalism in communication and teamwork with clients, peers, management, and corporate partners.

Our best-fit candidate would have:

  • 4+ years of retail experience.
  • 2+ years of managerial experience in a customer service-focused retail environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze sales reports, identify trends, and react quickly to drive results.
  • Effective management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Interest in fashion and trend awareness.
  • Availability to work five full days a week and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
