Job summary

United Airlines in Guam seeks a senior Finance leader to supervise accounting, payroll, tax, and reporting across countries, ensuring compliance and strong internal controls.

You will guide partners, standardize processes, and drive efficiency while maintaining accuracy and timely financial data in a complex, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• 2 years working experience in accounting related field
• Experience in supervising multiple staff and ensure department deadlines are achieved
• Extensive knowledge of international accounting operations, policies, procedures and processes.
• Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations. Must be highly organized and strong ability to supervise multiple projects
• Experience in supervising multiple staff member and ensure department deadlines are achieved
• Experience coaching, consoling and developing staff members
• Excellent communicator (verbal/written), high level of initiative
• Excellent analytical, organizational skills, and detail oriented
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in Guam for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to travel
• Sensitivity to cultural differences
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

• Directing Internal Controls to ensure they are operating effectively as business environment and processes are changing continuously.
• Ensuring that business processes are appropriately standardized across all countries
• Work with business partners to ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures.

Description

Key Responsibilities

This role supervises the day-to-day finance, accounting, administration, payroll, treasury, and taxes activities for assigned countries. Responsible for compliance with all governments and local requirements, as well as adequate review of internal financial and business controls, in order to safeguard company assets and reliability of accounting data. Provide guidance to our business partners in areas of finance and accounting whenever necessary. In addition, this role ensures to the continuous review of country process to identify process improvements, which will yield higher efficiency at the country level.

Ensure these controls are monitored effectively and efficiently in order to safeguard company assets, validate the accuracy and reliability of accounting data on a timely basis
• Ensuring that business processes are appropriately standardized across all countries
• Work with business partners to ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Fluent in Japanese or Chinese (written & oral)
