Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Guest Experience, is a vital part of the store leadership team, ensuring a high-quality experience for team members and guests daily. This role involves leading from the floor, developing team members, fostering a culture of belonging, and ensuring outstanding guest experiences aligned with company values and directives.

Core Responsibilities
Leadership and People Management
  • Create an inclusive team environment that celebrates diversity and promotes support, productivity, and fun.
  • Engage team members by clarifying how their work contributes to store and company success.
  • Support the Store Manager's vision by implementing and cascading it to the team.
  • Assist in hiring and developing a diverse team with various backgrounds and skills.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities.
  • Lead performance management activities, including feedback, recognition, documentation, and addressing concerns.
  • Handle employee concerns and collaborate with support teams when necessary.
Guest Experience and Community
  • Lead exceptional guest experiences through connection and product education, coaching team members accordingly.
  • Make real-time decisions to ensure efficient store operations and guest service.
  • Resolve guest feedback and issues promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Operations, Product, and Strategy
  • Collaborate on business data review to inform planning, sales, and hiring strategies.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and product presentation.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Adhere to safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Budget Responsibility

Manage aspects of the store's budget and labor hours within delegated authority.

People Management

Directly oversee a subset of store employees as delegated by the Store Manager.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of people management experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience managing operations and projects.
Preferred Assets
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in retail or sales management for at least 1 year.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, or training employees for at least 1 year.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Brightly lit environment with loud music.
  • Work involves team collaboration and independent tasks.
  • May involve conflict resolution and guest issue mediation.
  • Requires movement through the store and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $23.19 to $31.38/hour, with a target bonus of 25%, totaling $28.99 to $39.23/hour. Benefits include health and dental plans, paid time off, retirement matching, employee discounts, fitness classes, development programs, and more. Eligibility and specific offerings vary and are subject to change.
