Shoe Sensation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our store team in Mattoon, IL. You will greet customers, sell shoes, apparel and accessories, and help manage daily operations to deliver the best shopping experience.

You will recruit, hire, train, coach, and supervise the sales team, open/close the store, process deposits, and keep the floor neat and stocked while promoting internal career growth within a locally owned retailer that values its people and communities.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and have personal transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Willing to teach others how to sell and learn how to be a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store, knowing that there may be times that you are alone in the store.
• Willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Can kneel, twist, bend, climb a ladder, reach, stoop and lift 25-50 pounds.

• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposit and make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives.
