Job summary

Shoe Sensation, Inc. in Jamestown, ND is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our sales team, coach staff, and help grow a customer-focused store. You will guide customers, sell shoes and accessories, and assist with recruiting and training the team.

You will also help open/close the store, coach the sales staff, and ensure deposits are handled properly. This is a great opportunity for growth within a company that values internally promoting our employees.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and transportation to take deposits to the bank.
• Ability to teach others how to sell and become a people manager.
• Willing to open/close the store and handle lone shifts when needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; capable of lifting 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through their shopping experience.
• Sell shoes, apparel and accessories to customers and ring up sales.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring and training the store sales team.
• Lead the team to deliver the best customer sales experience and maintain store standards.
• Prepare deposits and perform banking deposits when required.

What you will do:

• Greet our customers and guide them through their shopping experience.
• Sell shoes, apparel, and accessories to customers.
• Ring up sales in computer, take cash/run credit cards/do discounts, etc.
• Help re-stock the sales floor.
• Keep things neat and clean in the store.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training the store sales team.
• Assist with coaching and discipline of the store sales team.
• Lead the rest of the team to ensure the best customer sales experience.
• Prepare deposit and make deposits at the bank.
• Process freight and set the sales floor as it arrives.

What you need:
