Our expansive tasting room boasts stunning views, and we are a farm-to-table establishment serving dishes made primarily from estate-grown ingredients, along with estate-crafted wines and farm-produced retail items. The Role

Saddlehill Winery & Farmhouse Kitchen seeks a dynamic Assistant Manager with a focus on Event Coordination. Reporting to the General Manager, this role involves driving revenue and enhancing guest experiences through soliciting, planning, and executing group events, as well as supporting floor management as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, passionate about wine and culinary pairings, and committed to creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities (Event Coordination)
  1. Event Sales & Booking: Identify and solicit large group bookings, respond to inquiries, develop proposals, conduct site tours, negotiate contracts, and maintain booking records.
  2. Event Planning & Execution: Serve as main contact for clients, collaborate with culinary team, coordinate logistics, oversee event execution, troubleshoot issues, and follow up post-event.
  3. Business Development & Marketing: Explore new markets, assist in marketing efforts, network locally, and stay informed on industry trends.
Responsibilities (Floor Management Support)
  1. Staff Supervision: Oversee front-of-house team, ensure standards, assist with training.
  2. Customer Service: Handle inquiries and complaints, interact with guests.
  3. Operations: Manage seating, monitor cleanliness, oversee service flow.
  4. Coordination & Communication: Liaise with kitchen and staff, communicate specials and operational updates.
  5. Problem Solving & Safety: Address issues promptly, ensure safety and sanitation standards.
  6. Financial & Inventory Management: Assist with cash handling, monitor inventory, manage staffing schedules.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years management experience in hospitality, winery, or event venue.
  • Proven success in booking and executing group events.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food and wine pairings.
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of safety standards; TIPS certification preferred.
  • Passion for hospitality, wine, and guest experiences.
