What You’ll Do

  1. In partnership with the Store Manager, model and lead a customer-first selling culture through effective routines, visual brand standards, and engagement behaviors.
  2. Assess and analyze business trends utilizing all available reporting to problem-solve business opportunities and take appropriate action.
  3. Consistently exemplify, maintain, and foster the culture and values of World Market.
  4. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance, customer-focused team that aligns with our company values through training, recognition, and performance management.
  5. Support and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountability.
  6. Plan for and execute daily business tasks and duties assigned by and in the absence of the Store Manager.
  7. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by and in the absence of the Store Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Customer Experience

  1. Leverage all available resources to inform and educate the team on product knowledge, selling/engagement behaviors, and business priorities/goals.
  2. Ensure all associates utilize company tools and technology to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  3. Validate successful deployment of all omnichannel initiatives, including AOS and BOPIS add-on selling behaviors.
  4. Drive customer engagement behaviors to support all loyalty initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  1. Leadership skills including: Excellent customer experience behaviors, a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, creative problem solving, sound decision-making skills that align with strategic initiatives, effective delegation and validation, and the ability to execute daily priorities efficiently.
  2. Minimum of 2+ years of relevant leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture is preferred.
  3. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, depending upon the needs of the business.
  4. Minimum Age 21 years.
  5. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
