Job summary

YKTA seeks an experienced Production Planning professional to lead plant-wide planning activities and optimize customer service, delivery, and utilization. You will oversee inventories, purchasing, and reporting, while coordinating with customers and development teams to ensure on-time product flow.

The role requires a related degree or equivalent experience, plus 2–3 years supervisory work in manufacturing, preferably automotive, with strong computer skills and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years of equivalent work experience or training.
• Proficient computer and software skills.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience in a production environment, preferably in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.
• Manage inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing & supply base & developing methods and procedures.
• Develop long-range planning initiatives for production control group to meet growth goals.
• Establish effective communication with customers, business development etc. to ensure on-time delivery.
• Minimize interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices.
• Assist in planning the operating budget for all areas of accountability.
• Provide training & development opportunities for Conveyance team as required.
• Work on maintaining and developing network system to streamline information and generate reports.
• Regular attendance is required.

Essential Functions (but Are Not Limited To)

• Manage inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing & supply base & developing methods and procedures.
• Develop long-range planning initiatives for production control group, which include continuously evaluating the plant’s needs, capacities, capital, expenses, etc. to meet the growth goals.
• Establish effective communication with various groups such as customers, business development etc. to ensure on-time delivery of products and team support.
• Minimize interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices.
• Assist in planning the operating budget for all areas of accountability.
• Provide training & development opportunities for members of the Conveyance team as required to sharpen the team’s performance skills presently and in the future.
• Work on maintaining and developing network system, which allows access to the plant’s manufacturing systems to streamline information, and generate reports.
• Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree is a related field or 4 years of equivalent work experience or training.
• Proficient computer and software skills.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience in a production environment, preferably in the automotive industry.

Preferred Qualifications, Education, And Experience

• Working knowledge of plant logistics and inventory control/ flow processes is preferred

Environment

• Work is conducted in an industrial office/ plant setting.
• Frequent movement throughout an industrial plant environment being exposed to high noise levels and equipment normally used in stamping / welding/ Ecoat environments.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 33lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing on the plant floor.
• Ability to safely operate PIT equipment.
• Able to traverse the plant facility.
