Job summary

Soma, part of KnitWell Group, is seeking an Assistant Manager in Savannah, GA to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will help drive sales, coach associates, and maintain brand standards while fostering a hospitable store culture.

Key duties include team development, in-store events, inventory control, and cross-channel service. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership to achieve the financial goals of the store and motivate the team.
• Assist in hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.

• Ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
