Job summary

Jersey Mike's Subs is looking for individuals with Leadership or Assistant General Manager experience to join our leadership teams. We are seeking fun, energetic, and reliable people who can train with us to help lead a team of professionals in serving our awesome guests and ultimately become General Managers.

First 8 to 12 weeks (maximum) and Full-Time Assistant General Manager In Training: $21.50 Per Hour GUARANTEED (Includes Tips).

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must complete and obtain ServSafe Managers Certification within training period.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a restaurant cleaner than others and operate in a fast-paced team environment.
• Multitask with a sense of urgency and interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience.
• Lead a crew of 3 to 7 people and create employee schedules.
• Place inventory orders and assist in training new staff.
• Open and close the store and ensure adherence to brand standards.
• Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions.

Fully Trained Assistant Manager:

$23.00 Per Hour GUARANTEED (Includes Tips) PLUS EBIDTA bonus!

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Must be at least 18 years old (Meat Slicer Operation)


• Valid Driver’s license


• Must complete and obtain company-paid ServSafe Managers Certification within the training period.


• Reliable Transportation


• Familiar with Point of Sale (POS) systems.


• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs


• Physical: Must be able to work in any area of the restaurant when needed.


• Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire day. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.


• Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule


• Must be able to provide exceptional customer service.


• Must enjoy bantering and interacting with others


• Must demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and integrity


• Must demonstrate solid leadership characteristics


• 1 year (Preferred) high-volume restaurant supervisory experience, including some experience in a quick service or fast casual dining environment.

An Assistant General Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a restaurant that is noticeably cleaner than others


• Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere


• Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency


• Interface with customers and provide an exceptional experience


• Full understanding of the teams’ accountability and integrity


• Key Holder


• Perform all tasks related to the opening and closing of the store


• Knows how to bake bread and perform all prep


• Manage and lead crew of 3 to 7 people


• Proficient in slicing


• Create employee schedule


• Place inventory orders


• Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed


• Assist in employee training


• Lead by example


• Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions
