Job summary

Bubble Down Car Wash in North Tampa is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performance team and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment. This hands-on role rewards leadership, service, and sales excellence.

You will assist daily operations, coach staff on customer interactions, and support membership sales while ensuring safety and a welcoming site. Weekend, holiday, and evening shifts are required; some driving for site errands may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing role (retail, hospitality, or service industry preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a high-performing team
• Passion for customer service and sales, with proven experience in upselling or membership growth
• Adaptability to outdoor work environments and varying weather conditions
• Basic computer proficiency (POS systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs+ as needed
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record — this role occasionally requires driving a company or personal vehicle to run site errands (e.g., supply runs)
• Must pass a criminal background check and MVR check — this role requires driving

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient site performance
• Lead by example in customer service — guide customers through the wash, resolve issues, and build loyalty
• Coach team members on delivering great customer interactions and converting them into membership sales
• Train, coach, and develop staff to uphold Bubble Down's high standards
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both customers and staff
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
• Stay actively engaged on-site — this is a hands-on leadership role
• Occasionally drive a company vehicle or your own personal vehicle to run basic site errands (e.g., picking up supplies) as needed

Requirements

Compensation

$19.00 – $24.00 hourly, plus commission opportunities tied to membership sales.

This position requires a criminal history check and a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, conducted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state law. Results are reviewed individually against the responsibilities of the role.
