Zaxby's in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in delivering fast, friendly service and operational excellence in a busy fast‑casual setting.

You will lead front‑of‑house and kitchen teams, boost guest satisfaction, manage daily operations, scheduling, inventory, and adherence to health and safety standards while supervising staff and driving performance in a high‑volume environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of management/supervisory experience in a fast-food environment.

Responsibilities

The Role

The Assistant Manager will play a critical role in supporting our General Manager to deliver exceptional service and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. Core Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Supervise all front-of-house and kitchen staff and support General Manager in hiring, training, and scheduling
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and address performance and behavioral issues according to company policy
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment

Operations

• Oversee daily restaurant operations—opening, closing, and shift-to-shift execution
• Use store management systems to track inventory, sales, and performance metrics
• Manage workflow to maintain speed of service and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with all health, food safety, regulatory, and brand requirements and prepare store for inspections
• Place and receive inventory orders in coordination with the General Manager
• Monitor and solve operational problems in real-time

Financial Management

• Manage labor costs against sales and conduct inventory counts and address variances on cost of goods sold
• Maintain adherence to cash control procedures, reconcile daily cash drawers and deposits, and ensure secure credit card processing

Sales & Guest Experience

• Encourage team members to delight guests with efficient and personable service that goes above and beyond, while modeling this approach in your own customer interactions
• Handle guest concerns and questions

Basic Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum one year of management/supervisory experience in a fast-food environment
• Food safety knowledge and commitment to health and sanitation standards

Physical & Work Demands

The position requires 50+ hours per week including mornings/evenings, weekends, and holidays. It requires standing, walking, and moving for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be prepared to jump into operational work (food prep, other crew duties) when needed.
