Job summary

Soma is seeking an Assistant Manager for Store 5038-Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, MI. You will support the Store Manager in leading a team to deliver memorable, personalized customer experiences and achieve store goals.

You'll drive product knowledge on the floor, build strong relationships, and manage operations, including inventory, scheduling, and compliance, to reflect our culture of hospitality.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Lead by example on the sales floor with product knowledge.

About The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in leading the team, building community connections, and creating a seamless customer experience. This position helps foster a welcoming environment—for both associates and customers—that enables us to create memorable, personalized experiences that reflect our culture of hospitality.

You'll bring to the role

• Must be at least 18 years old.


• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.


• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.


• A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.


• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products as well as maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, operate the register, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
