Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager to focus on Guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory control, staff scheduling, and safety standards.

The role includes supervising a 4-12 person team, planning events, ordering and inventory support, and daily operations across all shifts. Training will be provided; compensation will be discussed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work.
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful.
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed.
• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register; lifting up to 30 pounds.

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
