Job summary

City Barbeque is seeking an Assistant Manager in Murfreesboro, TN to lead shift operations, support the General Manager, and drive profitability. The role includes recruiting, training leaders, and handling scheduling, payroll and inventory duties.

You will participate in paid training in Dayton for 4–7 weeks and enjoy benefits such as free meals, a 401(k) match, and flexible scheduling as the restaurant grows and offers leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and training the next generation of leaders and empowering them to advance.
• Personnel decisions including orientations, transfers and terminations.
• Creating schedules to balance guest experience with financial responsibility.
• Payroll, inventory, food ordering, proper cash handling and related admin duties.
• Ensuring employees are paid properly and receive benefits.
• Communicating company changes and focus to the team.
• Supporting local store marketing opportunities.

THE role does require paid out of town training in Dayton for at least 4-7 weeks (this will be discussed in more detail during the interview process).

Assistant Managers create a culture in the restaurant that is exciting, optimistic and rewarding, while building sales and managing profitability. In addition to leading shift operations, he/she is charged with supporting the General Manager by owning multiple management responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Recruiting and training the next generation of leaders, guiding them to be promoted and empowering them to have a successful career.
• Personnel decisions regarding the restaurant team, including orientations, transfers and terminations.
• Writing schedules that meet the needs of the business so that a great guest experience is delivered while maintaining financial responsibility
• Administrative duties including payroll, inventory, food ordering, proper cash handling, etc.
• Ensuring that employees are paid properly and receive appropriate benefits
• Successfully communicating company changes/focus to the team.
• Assisting with local store marketing opportunities
